What to Do at Dong Dinh Museum 2026: 5 Experiences in the Heart of Son Tra Forest
About Bảo tàng Đồng Đình
Dong Dinh Museum is a "hidden" museum in the Son Tra forest, located right on Hoang Sa Street (Da Nang). The atmosphere here is completely different from museums in the city: stone paths, small murmuring streams, surrounding forest trees, and clusters of traditional houses interspersed with nature. I visited in the morning and it felt cool and quiet, the perfect getaway to escape the heat.
What to do at Dong Dinh Museum? First, take a walk along the trails to see displays of antiques, local ceramics, folklore artifacts, and some corners introducing Cham cultural imprints. My favorite part is the stilt houses and traditional houses skillfully built in the forest; you can observe them while listening to birdsong, which feels very "real" and not at all stiff.
A major plus is the viewpoints: from several high spots, you can look out over the sea and the city through the canopy, which makes for beautiful photos. If you just want to relax, there is also a café area where you can sip a drink, listen to the stream flowing and the forest wind blowing—it feels like a gentle picnic spot.
The museum is open from 07:30-18:00, with free parking available. According to my experience, you should spend about 1-2 hours to visit all the display clusters, take photos, and rest. This is a reasonable choice if you are doing the Son Tra - Linh Ung route and want to add a destination that combines culture and nature.
