About the tour

This 1-Day Da Nang Itinerary For Couples is what I often suggest to those who want a bit of "chill" by the sea, a slice of cultural and spiritual exploration, and a gentle ending with an evening on the Han River. Traveling by motorbike offers the most flexibility, while taking a car is cooler and better if you want to dress up for photos.

Start the morning near the beach to get into the mood. Around 8:00 AM, meet up at The Cups Coffee Roastery on Nguyen Van Thoai Street. The cafe is spacious with a minimalist, bright tone, making photos look very "clean." Sit back with a few cups of roasted coffee and order a pastry to share. A small tip: pick a table near the glass windows; the morning light here is soft and very flattering for portraits. Don't rush after finishing your drinks, as today's schedule is meant to be leisurely to suit the couple's vibe.

Leaving the beach, head up to the Son Tra Peninsula. It takes about 15 minutes to reach Linh Ung Pagoda. If you're going by motorbike, remember to drive slowly; just looking at the sea along the way makes it feel "worth the effort." At the pagoda, I usually spend time walking around the grounds, looking up at the Lady Buddha statue, and gazing down at the bay. The air up here is cooler than in the city center and very pleasant. A small but important note: dress politely (sleeves and modest-length pants/skirts) to enter the pagoda comfortably without hesitation.

For lunch, try local dishes for an authentic Central Vietnam taste. From Son Tra back to the Pham Van Dong area takes about 20 minutes; stop at Dac San Tran. For two people, ordering a portion of pork wrapped in rice paper (meat with fat at both ends) and an extra bowl of Quang noodles is perfect. This dish is delicious thanks to the fresh herbs and fermented shrimp paste (mam nem), so if you're not used to the strong smell, ask the staff to prepare a milder version. Take 10–15 minutes to rest after eating to avoid a "power dip" in the afternoon.

Shift the rhythm to culture in the afternoon. The Cham Museum is a place I love taking friends to when they want to understand Da Nang more deeply without traveling far. Walk slowly and examine the galleries closely to see the soulful stone statues and patterns. If you want a clearer story, you can hire a guide or at least use the audio guide/read the introduction boards; the experience will be much more immersive.

Late afternoon, return to the dating vibe. Reply 1988 Cafe is perfect for a rest and some nostalgic-style photos, with its brown-beige tones that are easy to match outfits with. We often stay a bit longer than planned because the sun is milder at this hour, and the cafe's colors look great in photos. This is also the time to "recharge your batteries" before heading out to the Han River.

In the evening, walk around the river and stop at Love Bridge to take some photos in the cool breeze and watch the city light up. And if you ask what my favorite part of this 1-Day Da Nang Itinerary For Couples is, it's the Han River cruise: sitting on the boat watching the lighted bridges reflected in the water, talking softly, and suddenly Da Nang feels very peaceful. Remember to buy tickets early (especially on weekends) and bring a light jacket because the river breeze at night can be colder than you think.

If you need an itinerary with enough spots to not waste the day, but still with enough space for the two of you to enjoy, then this 1-Day Da Nang Itinerary For Couples is a very "balanced" choice.
