Da Nang Love Pier: Experiences for Visiting and Watching the Han River at Night
About Cầu Tình Yêu - Love Pier
Love Pier is a small pedestrian bridge located on the banks of the Han River, right on Tran Hung Dao Street (An Hai Trung area, Son Tra). This is a "quick but quality" check-in spot in the center of Da Nang, highlighted by rows of heart-shaped lanterns and a direct view of the Han River, especially beautiful when the lights come on.
I visited in the evening, around after 7 PM, when the air was cool and the river breeze was pleasant. Standing on the bridge and looking across, you can see the riverbank and many angles to capture the whole city, while the other direction offers a view of the area near the Dragon Bridge. If you go on a weekend, you can combine your itinerary to watch the Dragon Bridge breathe fire/water and then stroll over here to take photos, which is very convenient due to the close distance.
What I liked is that there is no entrance fee; you can just leisurely walk, sit and watch the water, and take a few photos to "fill your album." There is also a service selling love locks with name engraving (I saw many reviews mentioning around 150,000 VND/lock) to hang on the railing as a small memory. However, it can be a bit crowded with tourists during peak hours; on the plus side, it's still easy to find an empty corner for photos.
According to information on Google, Love Pier is open daily from 8:00–21:00, rated about 4.5/5 with more than 325 reviews. Address: 507-493 Tran Hung Dao, An Hai Trung, Son Tra, Da Nang. If you want a romantic, free stop right in the center to watch the Han River at night, Da Nang Love Pier is a choice well worth trying.

Walk along the bridge to feel the river breeze and watch the city lights reflecting on the water. The evening air is cool and the photos turn out very beautiful.
Take photos with heart lanterns and Dragon Bridge view
Capture the rows of heart-shaped lights with the Han River as a backdrop. If going on the weekend, combine this with photos before/after watching the Dragon Bridge fire and water performance.
Buy and engrave souvenir padlocks
Several stalls near the bridge sell locks and engrave names/anniversary dates to hang on the railing. Suitable for couples who want to leave a mark of their trip.
Combine evening itinerary: visit Dragon Bridge and stroll the riverbank
Plan a walk from the Dragon Bridge area through Tran Hung Dao street, find a drink/snack stall around the riverbank. A gentle itinerary that doesn't take much time.
Tips & Notes Cầu Tình Yêu - Love Pier
Visit in the evening for the best view
Around 18:30–20:30 is the time when the lights are on, the weather is cool, and the photos are sparkling. If going during the day, the sun is quite harsh and there are fewer lighting "effects".
Avoid peak hours for comfortable photography
Weekends or late nights are usually more crowded. If you want fewer people in the frame, go earlier or choose a weekday.
Ask for the price before engraving locks
Lock/engraving prices can vary by time and design. You should clearly ask for the package price beforehand (many reviews mention about 150,000 VND/lock).
Bring tissues/fully charged phone
Night photography drains battery easily, especially when recording video. A power bank will be useful if you combine watching the Dragon Bridge and walking along the Han River.
Guard your personal belongings carefully
In crowded areas, pay attention to your bags/phones when taking photos and moving on the bridge.
