Hoi An Memories Land: Review of the most worth-watching outdoor visual arts performance in the evening

Hoi An Memories Land (200 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Hoi An Ward, Da Nang) is a place I often suggest to friends if they want to "change the atmosphere" in the evening outside the ancient town. Previously, this area belonged to Quang Nam, but now it has been merged into Da Nang, making travel and searching for the location more convenient. On Google Maps, it currently has a rating of 4.6/5 with over 4,466 reviews—which is quite accurate compared to my experience.

I arrived around 16:00 (opening hours are usually 16:00–22:00, except for Tuesdays when it is closed). Arriving early is very beneficial: you have time to stroll around the premises, take check-in photos, and watch the mini shows that take place before the main performance. The atmosphere here is like a "cultural park" with many beautiful lighting corners, great for photos, especially at twilight.

The highlight is definitely the outdoor visual arts show "Hoi An Memories." The stage scale is vast, the lighting is eye-catching, and with many performers, it is quite captivating to watch. I find that sitting closer to or in the center area provides a more "satisfying" view, but if traveling with family, choosing a seat that is easy to enter and exit will be more comfortable. A small note: there is a section where you have to walk across a bridge and go up and down steps, so families with elderly members should plan for extra time or ask for electric shuttle assistance.

Overall, this is a suitable experience for groups of friends, couples, and families who want a night that is "authentically Hoi An" without just wandering around the old town. If you only choose one evening activity in Hoi An, I think Hoi An Memories Land is an option worth trying at least once.
