Guide to Visiting & Buying Stone Statues at Fair Prices in Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village, Da Nang
About Non Nuoc stone carving
Non Nuoc stone carving village is located right at the foot of the Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son), at 146 Nguyen Co Thach, Hoa Hai, Ngu Hanh Son, Da Nang. This is the largest craft village - workshop - stone showroom cluster in the region, famous for Buddha statues, sacred animals, reliefs, mortars and pestles, vases... made from marble and many other natural stones. On Google, this spot is rated 4.4/5 with 232 reviews.
I stopped by on the way to Marble Mountains, and it felt exactly like “getting lost in an outdoor gallery”: stone statues of all sizes, from tiny desktop ones to those taller than a person, are displayed all along both sides of the road. The craftsmen and shops here produce quite sharp work; if you look closely, the chiseling and polishing lines are very even. However, the shopping experience can be a bit “intense”: in many places, people will follow you to introduce products, give quick quotes, and invite you continuously. If you prefer to browse at your own pace, just clearly state that you want to look around by yourself first.
A great point is that this area is usually open all day (many shops open very early and close late), making it convenient for a quick 20–60 minute visit. If you are planning a Da Nang – Hoi An itinerary, this route is also extremely suitable; since Hoi An used to belong to Quang Nam but is now conveniently connected to Da Nang, it makes for a perfect combined trip.
If you plan to buy, I recommend asking carefully about the stone material, weight, shipping fees, and packaging policies. For large items, many shops support shipping by truck/freight, but the cost will vary depending on the size and destination.

Learn about materials & carving techniques
Inquire about stone types (marble, granite...), polishing methods, and how to distinguish natural stone from other materials. If you meet friendly craftsmen or workshop owners, you will learn many interesting tips.
Shop for compact stone souvenirs
Choose easy-to-carry items like small statues, stone bracelets, desktop sacred animals, or ornaments. Remember to check the surface for cracks and edges for chips.
Order custom products & professional packaging
For large items, you can order specific sizes/designs and request wooden crating for home delivery. Be sure to confirm the completion time and shipping fees before making a deposit.
Take check-in photos at the outdoor “stone gallery”
The rows of large statues create a very impressive background. Best photographed in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid harsh sunlight and glare on the polished stone surfaces.
Tips & Notes Non Nuoc stone carving
Be direct about your needs to avoid constant solicitation
You can say: “I'd like to look around on my own first, I'll ask if I need help.” The experience will be much more comfortable.
Compare prices at 2–3 shops before deciding
The same model can have a significant price difference. Don't hesitate to visit a few more shops to get a baseline price.
Ask clearly about stone type and origin
Inquire about the stone's name, weight, and whether it is natural stone, composite, or stone powder. For long-term display or gifts, prioritize natural stone with fewer pores.
Check for cracks and fragile corners
Look closely at the veins, bases, fingers, or noses of the statues—these are the areas most prone to cracking or chipping during transport.
Confirm packaging & shipping fees from the start
Ask for wooden crates or shockproof packaging for large items. Clarify the total cost to the destination, delivery time, and who is responsible if items break.
Visit during cooler hours and bring water
The outdoor display areas are quite sunny, especially at noon. Early morning or after 15:30 will be much more pleasant.
